Buzzlessons1. Accounts and eligibility
- Adults (18+) may register as a parent, a student, or a teacher.
- Children under 18 do not hold their own account. A parent creates and controls the account and adds children as profiles.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials — and any child passcodes you set — confidential.
- You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.
2. The service
Buzzlessons connects students with independent teachers for live one-on-one tutoring. We provide the scheduling, delivery, records, and payment tooling. Teachers are responsible for the content and conduct of their own sessions.
3. Bookings, credits, and payments
- Lessons are booked using credits from a plan or credit pool. Credit costs per session are shown at the point of purchase.
- For a child, only a parent can fund credits. A child may request credits; a parent must approve and pay.
- Reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours in advance. Late cancellations may consume the credit, as described on our pricing page.
- Payment is handled by our payment processor. We do not store card details.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or to harm, harass, or endanger anyone — especially a minor.
- Share content that is illegal, abusive, or inappropriate for a learning environment with children.
- Attempt to circumvent security, access another account, or disrupt the service.
- Take teaching or payment off-platform to avoid safeguarding and fee arrangements.
5. Teacher terms
- Teachers are independent providers, not employees of Buzzlessons.
- Teachers must hold any qualifications or clearances they represent and comply with child-safeguarding obligations.
- Teachers may only share learning materials through the platform's own library. Sharing external links during sessions with children is not permitted.
- Payouts are made per the arrangement shown when you join.
6. Content and intellectual property
Buzzlessons and its branding remain our property. Teaching materials remain the property of their authors, who grant us the licence needed to deliver them within the platform. You keep ownership of the content you upload.
7. Safeguarding
Protecting children is central to how the platform operates. We may suspend or remove any account that we reasonably believe endangers a child or breaches these terms. See our Child Safety & Consent policy.
8. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms. On termination we handle your data as described in our Privacy Policy, including erasure on request.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee particular learning outcomes. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the preceding twelve months. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. Changes
We may update these terms and will revise the "last updated" date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
